Following the two page article on Smax in Top Gear magazine earlier this year, a journalist and photographer will be with Smax for all of the 4 days of the Finish round next month. The reporter will be doing a "fly on the wall" type report on the running of a Top Fuel car and the interaction of all the team members. It's rumoured the reporter will be given all the nice jobs such as parts cleaning so that will please Belfast Ray!!

On a serious note the intention of the Mainline team is to show both the hard work and enjoyment experienced in running a Fuel car hopefully to widen the sport appeal into this type of mainstram magazine.

Top Gear magazine has a circulation of 125,000 and readership of almost 400,000. Smax told us he hopes the magazine crew will follow him to the Finals in September to provide an update for the magazine.
